Chapter One: The Adventure Collection

The Adventure Collection came together quickly — like it had been waiting in the wings all along. I’d finally tapped into this creative flow I didn’t even know I had access to. After so many years of just getting through, I wanted to make something that celebrated joy — real, simple, everyday joy. The kind that sneaks up on you when you’re finally open to it.

I started thinking about experiences I hadn’t had yet, but really wanted to. Adventures big and small. Moments worth remembering, worth writing about one day. So it made sense to create a collection that played on that idea — of life as a bit of an expedition. That’s where the names of the sizes came from: Epic, Big, Tall, Short, and Tiny. A bit cheeky, a bit playful, but all part of the journey.

BEHIND THE SCENES

For the colours, I wanted each cover to feel like a little greeting to life. A wave hello to whatever’s next. So I dyed each one by hand, leaning into vibrant tones for the bold, and rich classics for the grounded moments. We called the brighter ones Ahoy, Hello, Kia Ora, and Bonjour — all ways to say “I’m here for this.” The deeper shades — Notte Ombra, Pekmez, Marmalade, and Kahve — felt more reflective, warm and familiar, like old friends.

And the inserts? We called them Signatures. Because in bookbinding terms, a signature is a section of folded paper that forms part of the whole — and that’s exactly how ours work. Each one handmade with kraft card covers and 100gsm mixed media paper. You choose your layout — plain, ruled, or dot grid — and build the journal that fits your way of exploring.

The best part? You can mix and match them however you like. No rules. Just your story, your way.
