Chapter Five: The Liberty Collection

Adding pockets to the Wonder Collection had always been part of the plan. I just hadn’t quite figured out how — until a trip to the Liberty store in central London changed everything.

I was wandering through the mezzanine, letting my hands drift over the rows of iconic Liberty prints — those unmistakable florals that seem to whisper history and creativity all at once. My mind lit up. I started imagining a new kind of cover — something soft but strong, practical but beautiful. A fabric book cover that could double as a removable pocket insert for any Epic or A5-sized Stori Dori, or a book for that matter.

And just like that, the Liberty Collection was born.

Tana Lawn cotton — Liberty’s signature fabric — was the obvious choice. It’s unbelievably fine, almost like silk to the touch. The challenge was figuring out how to give it enough structure to hold its shape without making it bulky. After a lot of testing (and more than a few offcuts), we found just the right balance.

BEHIND THE SCENES

This collection came together quickly once that hurdle was cleared. Each cover was crafted with care, showcasing some of Liberty’s most beloved floral motifs. The result? A soft, elegant piece that fit seamlessly into the Stori Dori system — versatile, functional, and full of charm.

It was a little nod to London, to legacy, and to the beauty of pattern and detail.
